Compression Spring

COMPRESSION SPRINGS

offers resistance to compressive forces. They are normally coiled with a constant body diameter. There are other forms of compression springs too, including conical, barrel and hourglass. Round wire is most commonly used for compression springs, but sometimes square, rectangular and special section wire is required. A common example of compression springs are the springs in ballpoint pens.
